Eligibility Criteria for Polytechnic Colleges in Kerala
The following eligibility criteria will be taken into consideration by the polytechnic colleges in Kerala to select the students for their course:
- The applicant should be an Indian citizen and be living in Kerala.
- The wards of central or state government employees are also eligible to apply for the government polytechnic colleges.
- There is no upper age limit to apply to the college.
- The applicant must have scored minimum passing marks in SSLC as well as Plus Two to be eligible for the course.
- Since there are two streams in polytechnic, students who have had mathematics, science, and English in their qualifying exams are eligible to apply for both streams.
- Students who have chosen mathematics and English in their qualifying exams are eligible to apply for stream two only.
- If the students have passed the SSLC/THSLC exam in more than two attempts, then they are not eligible to apply for the polytechnic colleges.
