Pondicherry University Selection Process for PG Courses

The selection of the candidates for PG courses offered by Pondicherry University is purely based on the performance of candidates in the entrance exam. After the announcement of Pondicherry University Entrance Exam Results 2019, the varsity will release an official merit list that will have the names of the candidates, their score in entrance exam and rank. Based on the merit list, Pondicherry University will conduct an online counselling process and seat allocation will be done accordingly. However, the final admission is granted only after the verification of documents.

Pondicherry University Ph.D. Selection Process

Candidates who have cleared UGC NET/ JRF will get direct admission in Ph.D. courses offered by Pondicherry University. However, candidates who have cleared Ph.D. entrance exam conducted by the varsity must appear for an interview. The final selection will be based on the candidate’s score in Pondicherry University Ph.D. Entrance Exam 2019 and interview. During the selection process, 70% weightage will be given to entrance test score and 30% for an interview.

Candidates applying for PG programmes must refer UG syllabus of the relevant subject to prepare for the entrance exam conducted by Pondicherry University. The entrance exam will have 100 multiple choice questions and the duration is 2 hours. There will be negative marking for wrong answers.
