Punjab B.Ed Eligibility Criteria 2025

Candidates should check the eligibility requirements before filling up the Punjab B.Ed application form. The eligibility criteria for Punjab B.Ed admission 2025 are as follows:

Candidates should get at least 50% aggregate marks in their Bachelor’s degree in any stream including a degree in engineering and technology and 45% marks for candidates from SC, ST, BC, etc.
Those who have completed their Master’s degree should have obtained a minimum of 50% aggregate marks and 45% for ST, SC and BC candidates.
The aspirants should have completed their UG or PG degree in a relevant subject because B.Ed admission is subject-based. These relevant subjects must have been studied at the undergraduate or postgraduate level based on which the candidate will be offered admission in two teaching/ pedagogical subjects.
A candidate getting admission based on a post-graduate degree shall have to opt for one of the teaching subjects pursued by him/her at the Master’s level.

The Punjab B.Ed admission process 2025 is as mentioned below:

Candidates taking the Punjab B.Ed CET exam should be aware that their merit will be decided based on both their qualifying exam scores and their CET exam scores.
The admissions committee will assign seats to applicants through centralized in-person counselling sessions.
Two rounds of counselling sessions will be held for the Punjab B.Ed Admissions in 2024. According to the vice chancellor's decision, the schedule and formal dates will be posted on the website.
Candidates whose names are on the merit list must fill out their choice of colleges and topic choices by going to the institute's official website.
The candidates must appear at the counselling centre on the scheduled date and time with all the required documentation for verification. The choice of college made by an applicant and the merits attained by them as listed on the merit list will be taken into consideration for allocating seats.

Punjab B.Ed Admission Management Quota 2025

For Punjab B.Ed admission 2025, a percentage of the seats is reserved for the Management Quota. According to the Punjab Govt., 15% of the seats in every B.Ed college in Punjab will be reserved for admission through the management quota. This 15% of the seats will not be included during the centralised admission counselling but will be filled separately after the completion of the 1st and 2nd rounds of counselling. The Punjab B.Ed admission through Management Quota will be done based on the following parameters:

The management quota admission will commence after the 2nd round of the counselling process is over.
The institutes of Punjab will release the name of the college and courses offered for the Punjab B.Ed management quota admission.
There will be no reservation applicable for the Punjab B.Ed management quota admission.
The Punjab B.Ed management quota admission will be done based on merit obtained by the candidates in the qualifying exam for which separate counselling will be conducted by the respective institutes.

Yes, you can apply for B.Ed course admission with 49.7 per cent marks in your UG degree. If you are in the final year of your bachelor's, you can get provisional admission which will be confirmed only after you submit the final year mark sheet later on.
