The Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test, often known as UPTET, is an annual state-level test used to choose teachers for the primary (classes 1–5) and upper primary (classes 6–8) levels in Uttar Pradesh. UPTET is administered by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board, or UPBEB.
Updates are posted by the Uttar Pradesh Exam Regulatory Agency on their official website, updeled.gov.in. As a result, one can simply access accurate answers to their questions on the internet.
More than 15 lakh applicants take the UPTET exam each year. A total of 1,634,249 candidates enrolled for the exam in 2019, and 15,14,716 of them showed up to take it. When approximately 18.25 lakh individuals enrolled for the exam in 2018, about 17 lakh students actually showed up. Aspiring candidates should work through sample papers to gauge the complexity of the exams. The UPTET exam is administered in two distinct shifts for Paper I and Paper II. Candidates who choose to become teachers in Classes 1–5 must take the UPTET Paper–I. Candidates who want to teach classes from 1 through 8 must, however, appear in both papers. The UPTET's two papers are both administered on the same day in offline mode using pen and paper.
Candidates who pass the UPTET exam are deemed qualified for hiring as primary or upper-primary (also known as middle school) level teachers for the public schools in the state. Soon after the results are announced, these candidates obtain their UPTET eligibility certificate. According to Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishak, the given eligibility certificate is valid for lifetime.
Eligibility Criteria for UPTET
A few important eligibility requirements are observed for the candidates:
Candidates for the UPTET must be between the ages of 18 and 35 and citizens of India, Nepal, Bhutan, or Tibet. They must also have completed a bachelor's degree in any field.
UPTET Pay Scale and Salary Structure
In Uttar Pradesh, an assistant teacher's base salary is INR 7300 throughout their training term, and if they graduate to the regular teacher's pay scale, it might be enhanced. Permanent Primary and Upper Primary teachers make somewhere between INR 9300 and 34800 per year (without the latest rise from the 7th Pay Commission). Primary and Upper Primary teachers receive grade pay of 4200 and 4600 rupees, respectively.
UPTET Salary
Depending on whether the site of posting is a rural, urban, or other large metropolis, the UPTET Salary for Primary Teachers and Upper Primary Teachers differs from place to place.
The UPTET Pay Band ranges from Rs 9300 to Rs 34800 with a Rs 4200 Grade Pay.
Therefore, the initial basic pay is Rs 9300 + Rs 4200 = Rs 13500.
The salary structure recommended by the 7th Pay Commission, which also recommends pay raises for teachers, is upheld by the state government of Uttar Pradesh. As a result, a UPTET teacher's pay is increased by an additional increment each year.
Candidates may select one of the two times per year—July and January—that the increment is offered.
The difference between the in-hand salary in rural and urban areas is caused by the housing allowance.
Some key features of the PayScale are
The 7th Pay Commission, which approves the increment within the teachers' pay scale, established the compensation structure that the UP Government uses. As a result, a UPTET teacher's compensation is revised annually and given an additional raise.
The candidates may select any of the two increments that are offered each year in July and January.
The house-rent allowance accounts for the difference in in-hand pay between rural and urban areas.

- House Rent Allowance,

No TDS deduction is made for newly hired instructors. It begins following the conclusion of their duties at a specific time. A primary teacher can therefore determine his or her compensation after TDS deduction as-
