How is SNAP Percentile Calculated?

The SNAP 2024 percentile will be calculated based on the formula given below:

SNAP Percentile = [(Total Number of Candidates - Marks of a Candidate) / Total Number of Candidates] × 100

SNAP percentile is nothing but how you fare in front of the rest of the takers. For example, if you have scored 97 percentile on the exam, it would mean that you have scored better than 97 per cent of the total test takers. However, the same can vary every year based on the number of takers, difficulty level of the exam, seat intake, etc.

Do SNAP Colleges Have Sectional Cutoffs?

No, colleges accepting SNAP do not have sectional cutoffs, meaning you have to meet the overall cutoff percentile/marks determined by a particular college. The overall score is based on which candidates are considered for further rounds including the GD and PI. That said, every college might have slightly different selection criteria.

What is the SNAP 2024 Final Merit List Based On?

The SNAP 2024 final merit list will be based on the SNAP score, performance in Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview (PI). All of these three parameters have a different weightage. Find the same in the table below:

The cutoffs mentioned are subject to change based on the difficulty level of the exam session attempted and other factors. While the cutoff is just one aspect of the selection process, it will certainly be a crucial deciding factor, with it having a weightage of 50%. Hence, scoring well on the exam and eventually meeting the cutoff can increase your chances of getting into your desired college.
