SVU College of Engineering (SVUCE) accepts the following exams for B.Tech admissions 2020 –

  • AP EAMCET exam score is accepted for B.Tech admissions under state or convener quota.

  • Students from other states or countries can also apply for B.Tech admission at SVUCE. Students from other states must have a valid score JEE Main or minimum qualifying marks in Class 12 to secure B.Tech admission in SVUCE. However, these students shall be treated under the management quota of the institute.

SVUCE B Tech Eligibility Criteria 2020

SVUCE B Tech eligibility criteria for the admission session 2020-21 can be checked below –

Domicile Rules

  • SVUCE B.Tech aspirants must note that all seats available under convener quota of the institutes shall be applicable to Andhra Pradesh domicile students only.
  • In simple words, the applicants must be the bonafide residents of Andhra Pradesh.
  • The students must have passed Intermediate in Andhra Pradesh.
  • NRI/ PIO candidates can apply for management quota seats.

Educational Qualification

  • B.Tech aspirants of SVUCE must have passed Intermediate with 50% of marks.
  • The candidates must have passed Intermediate in MPC group to be eligible for the admission.
  • Apart from the above, AP EAMCET score is mandatory for B.Tech admission in SVUCE under convener quota.

Local Status of Students Migrated from Telangana to Andhra Pradesh

  • A candidate who migrates to Andhra Pradesh from Telangana within a period of five years from June 02, 2014, shall be regarded as the local candidate in the state of Andhra Pradesh. This particular rule is applicable until July 01, 2020.
  • Therefore, the above rule is applicable for SVUCE B.Tech admissions 2020.

Age Limit

  • SVUCE B.Tech aspirants must have completed 16 years of age as on December 31 of the admission year.
  • For B.Tech admission in SVUCE, there is no upper age limit.

SVUCE B Tech Application Form 2020

SVUCE accepts online application for B Tech admission. However, SVUCE does not have a specific application portal for B Tech admissions. The candidates must register for Web Counselling Process conducted by APSCHE to secure admission in SVUCE. An information booklet for AP EAMCET counselling shall be released by APSCHE after the announcement of AP EAMCET 2020 results. The registration fees for AP EAMCET counselling shall be Rs. 1,200.

SVUCE is one of the participating institutes of AP EAMCET 2020 counselling process, and B.Tech admissions of SVUCE are based on the admission rules specified by the state government. If you want to secure B Tech admission in SVUCE, you must remember the following points or procedure –

SVUCE AP EAMCET Cutoff: As per the rules of the state government, 25% of marks in AP EAMCET are mandatory for General category candidates to be eligible for admission process. For reserved category candidates (SC/ST), there is no minimum qualifying mark, and the candidates must have a non-zero score to be eligible for the B.Tech counselling process conducted by APSCHE.

AP EAMCET Merit List: APSCHE will release a merit list that contains the ranks, score and details of the candidates who have cleared the AP EAMCET exam. All the candidates who feature in the merit list of AP EAMCET can apply for the counselling process.

1. What is the minimum rank required to secure B Tech admission in SVUCE?

A) Allocation of B.Tech seats is purely based on merit and rank of the candidates. For example, let us assume that 60 students who scored 1-100 ranks in AP EAMCET chose SVUCE and Computer Science Engineering as the first option in the web counselling process. Among 100 candidates, almost 50 candidates have chances to secure admission in SVUCE, as it offers 51 seats under convener quota. The seat allocation will be made as per the rank secured by the candidate and seat availability.

2. How to Choose SVUCE as an Option in AP EAMCET Counselling?

A) After the certificate verification process, the admission committee will give you a login id and password. With the help of login details, you must visit the official website of AP EAMCET counselling to exercise web options. While exercising the web options, you can choose SVUCE and an engineering branch as the first option. You must mark the priority number as ‘1’ for better admission chances.

3. Will I get Admission if I Choose SVUCE as the First Option in AP EAMCET Counselling?

A) There is no guarantee that you would get admission in SVUCE if you choose it as the first option. It depends on your AP EAMCET rank and availability of seats.

6. What should I do if I do not get a seat in SVUCE?

You will find the closing rank for B.Tech admission in SVUCE after the first round. For example, the closing rank of SVUCE after the first round is 4500 and 10 seats are vacant in a specific branch. Your rank is 4,501. You can choose SVUCE as an option in the second round counselling to secure admission.

7. Is there donation for B.Tech Seat in SVUCE?

A) In each branch of engineering, 51 seats are reserved under convener or state quota. All these seats shall be filled on the basis of AP EAMCET rank. The remaining 9 seats in each branch shall be applicable for NRI/ PIO candidates.

SVUCE B Tech Fee 2020

As SVUCE is a government institute, the B.Tech fee for convener quota per annum is Rs. 10,000. The candidates must note that the fee will be constant for the entire duration of the course. Reserved category students will get reimbursement from the state government. However, these candidates must pay the B.Tech fee at the time of joining. APSCHE authorities have postponed AP EAMCET 2nd phase seat allotment result until further notice following High Court order over Non Local Status.
