IISc Bangalore opened the GATE 2024 answer key objection window from February 22 to 25, 2024. IISc Bangalore has released the GATE final answer key 2024 on March 15, 2024 at its official website at goaps.iisc.ac.in. The final answer key of GATE 2024 is prepared after considering all the objections raised by the candidates against the provisional answer key. Candidates could challenge the GATE answer key 2024 by going to the GOAPS portal goaps.iisc.ac.in and clicking on the raising objection link. Applicants could log in with their enrollment ID and password and pay the GATE answer key challenge fees; of INR 500 per question (USD 10 for NRI applicants) to raise objections. GATE result 2024 will be released on March 16, 2024.

Steps to Challenge GATE Answer Key 2024
In case of a change of answer in GATE Answer Key 2024, candidates can challenge it by paying a fee of 500 INR for each answer. To raise objections against the answer key of GATE 2024, candidates need to follow the following steps.
- Visit the official website of GOAPS
- Log in using your registered ID and password
- Click on the link ‘GATE Answer Key 2024’
- Select the paper/discipline that you had given.
- Then Click on ‘Raise Objection’
- Find the question number for which you want to raise an objection from the official answer key and also enter the question ID and the correct answer.
- Attach supporting documents in PDF format along with the section name and question number in the supporting document.
- Pay the objection fee through the available method of payment.
Candidates who question the GATE answer key for 2024 will be able to get a refund of the objection fee (500 INR) if it is found that their challenge is valid. No refund will be given if the filed challenge is found to be incorrect

Steps to Calculate the Score for GATE Exam
Candidates can estimate their expected score using the GATE 2024 answer key by following the steps listed below:
Determine the total number of correct answers, then assign points based on those answers to arrive at the final score.
The candidate must compute the number of points deducted for incorrect answers. (Only MCQs (multiple choice questions) will receive a negative grade. There will be no negative marking for NAT). The calculation is as follows:
- MCQ Marks: Total marks (1 mark) + Total marks (2 marks).
- Total marks (1 mark) = 1 x no. of correct attempts – 1/3 x no. of wrong attempts.
- Total marks (2 marks) = 2 x number of correct attempts – 2/3 x number of wrong attempts.
- NAT Marks: Total marks (1 mark) + Total marks (2 marks).
Formula: Total marks = Total marks secured for correct answer minus— negative marks for incorrect answer.
The GATE Committee is in charge of determining the qualifying mark/score for each GATE paper. In the event of a claim or dispute relating to the GATE 2024 examination or score, the Courts and Tribunals in Mumbai will have sole jurisdiction to hear and resolve it.
