Tamil Nadu B.Pharm Lateral Entry Eligibility Criteria 2021

The eligibility criteria that need to be followed in order to secure admission in B.Pharm Lateral Entry.

B.Pharm Lateral Entry

  • Candidates who have passed Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) are eligible for direct 2nd year admissions.

  • Candidates belonging to the reserved categories (OC/BC/BCM/MBC/DNC) should have secured at least 40% marks in D.Pharm or its equivalent. For the general category, the pass percentage is 40%.

  • Also, for B.Pharm Lateral Entry admissions in TN, the candidate should be a native of the state.

Tamil Nadu B.Pharm Lateral Entry Admission Process 2021

Candidates seeking admission to B.Pharm Lateral entry in Tamil Nadu have to fill the online application form from the official website of Directorate of Medical Education i.e.- www.tnmedicalselection.org/. After filling up the application form the applicant needs to submit the filled-in application along with important documents to the address mentioned below.

The documents which are needed to be sent along with the application form are listed below:-

  • Identification Proof

  • D.Pharm Certificate and its Mark Sheets.

  • Provisional or Diploma Certificate.

  • Marksheet of Higher Secondary Education

  • Transfer certificate

  • Migration Certificate

  • Medical Certificate

  • Pharmacists Registration Certificate

  • Practical Training Certificate of a minimum of 500 hours out of 750

  • Candidate Service Certificate in Government Service

  • Permanent Community Certificate Card.

  • Certificate for proof of study of Class 10th to Class 12th and D.Pharm Course

  • Certificate of Nativity

Tamil Nadu B.Pharm Lateral Entry Merit List 2021

The merit list for B.Pharm (Lateral Entry) in Tamil Nadu is prepared by calculating the marks obtained in D.Pharm course. It will be reduced to the base of 100 marks. The Secretary, Selection Committee will publish the merit list at the Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education. Candidates whose name appears in the merit list will be eligible for counselling.

Tamil Nadu B.Pharm Lateral Entry Counselling Process 2021

In order to attend the Tamil Nadu B.Pharm Lateral Entry Counselling Process, the candidates need to pay the processing fee of Rs 250/- in form of Demand Draft drawn in the favour of “The Secretary, Selection Committee, Kilpauk, Chennai-10”.

The candidates who fail to attend the counselling session called by the selection committee will have to forfeit their claim for B.Pharm Lateral Entry admission and his or her name will not be even considered further rounds.

At the time of counselling, if the candidate chooses government seats in self-financing colleges over the government colleges seat, he or she needs to submit a declaration for his/ her choice.
