Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee

IIT Roorkee is a public technical university established in 1847 in Roorkee, Uttarakhand, India. The institute offers courses in a variety of disciplines including B.Tech, B.Arch, M.Arch, M.Tech, MSc ., PGD, MIE, MBA, Ph.D etc. The fees structure varies from programme to programme. For admission in B.Arch course in IIT Roorkee, it is mandatory for candidates to have a minimum 75% score in their class 12 examination from any recognized board.

Selection of candidates is done based on the scores obtained by them in the JEE Advanced exam . The fees structure for pursuing B.Arch course is Rs. 2.14 lakh per year whereas the fees for M.Arch is Rs.23,250 per year. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline for admission in M.Arch course and selection is done based on the GATE scores and COAP counselling.

National Institute of Technology, Calicut

Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur

IIT Kharagpur offers 87 courses including B.Tech, LL.B , B.Arch, MSc., M.B.A, M.Tech, LL.M etc. Candidates aspiring for admission into B.Arch course at IIT Kharagpur must have cleared their class 12 with minimum 70% marks with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as major subjects.

Candidates clearing the JEE Main Paper 2 exam will be eligible to appear for Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) which candidates must clear to secure admission in B.Arch course at IIT Kharagpur. The average fee to enroll into B.Arch course at IIT Kharagpur is 2.12 lakh per year.

School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi

Affiliated to the Delhi University, the School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), New Delhi was recognized as “An Institute of National Importance under an Act of Parliament” in 2015. The institute specializes in courses offered at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels in the areas of design, architecture, planning and management. Some of the courses offered by the college include B.Arch, B.Plan, M.Arch, M.Plan, M.Des etc.

The annual fee for BArch course at SPA is Rs.31,300 whereas it is Rs.39,100 for M.Arch course. Candidates must secure minimum 50% marks in their class 12 exam with Physics, chemistry and Mathematics as major subjects and they must also have a valid JEE Main score to be eligible for admission into B.Arch course at SAP Delhi. For admission in M.Arch course, candidates must have a B.Arch degree with 55% marks and selection is done via GATE exam / CEED exam .

National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli

Established in 1964 and formerly known as the Regional Engineering College, Tiruchirapalli, NIT Tiruchirapalli is popular for its M.Tech and B.Tech courses.
