Central Institute for Cotton Research (CICR), Nagpur

Central Institute for Cotton Research is a research based institute that was established in the year 1976 by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research. The institute was established in collaboration with the Government of Maharashtra. The institute aimed at increasing the per acre yield of cotton on the basis of the Brazilian model and it selected Vidarbha region as its pilot project.
