- Candidates must be Indian nationals to apply for TS ICET counselling.
- Candidates should be residents of the state of Telangana or Andhra Pradesh.
- Candidates must have completed a minimum of 3-year bachelor’s degree.

For MBA admissions through TS ICET counselling, candidates with the following qualifications are eligible:
- Bachelor of Arts (BA) with Mathematics as a core subject at 10+2 or Graduation level
- Bachelor of Science (B.Sc)
- Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA)
- Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com)
- Candidates should not be older than 30 (OC candidates) and 34 (Other candidates) as of July 1, 2024.
- Candidates who belong to Minority category (Muslim/Christian) would only be deemed eligible for counselling, and only for the open seats in minority universities, if they are unable to pass the TS ICET 2024 or have received 50% (OC applicants) and/or 45% (other category applicants) in their exams.
- Candidates must meet the minimum TS ICET passing marks or the qualifying cutoff.
- Distance learning/open university degrees must be recognized by a Joint Committee of UGC, AICTE, and DEC/DEB.
