According to the latest announcements by the Press Information Bureau (PIB), the University Grants Commission received information from the National Cyber Crime Threat Analytics Unit of Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) under the Ministry of Home Affairs that indicates that the integrity of the UGC NET June 2024 examination may have been compromised. In light of this information, the University Grants Commission took the decision to cancel the UGC NET 2024 exam held on June 18, 2024, across the country.
This decision was taken to ensure the highest level of transparency and sanctity of the examination process. The Ministry of Education, Government of India, later decided that the UGC NET June 2024 be conducted again from August 21 to September 4, 2024.
