VITEEE 2025 Physics Subject Wise Questions: The Vellore Institute of Technology conducts the Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) each year for the purpose of admitting students to its B.Tech and other undergraduate engineering programmes. At Vellore Institute of Technology, almost 2 lakh students apply for the exam each year. All qualified applicants will be given admission opportunities to the BTech at the campuses of VIT in Vellore, Chennai, Bhopal, and Amravati.

VITEEE exam is conducted as a computer-based test for 2 hours and 30 minutes, or 180 minutes. In order to keep up with the topics and subtopics on which the question paper will be based, candidates preparing for the B.Tech. programme at VIT must consult the VITEEE syllabus. VITEEE Subject Wise Questions 2025

As per the VITEEE exam pattern 2025 , the physics section will have 35 questions in total. The paper will be a two and half hour exam with no negative markings.

Optics

Magnification, power of a lens, combination of thin lenses in contact, combination of a lens and a mirror.
  • Refraction and dispersion of light through a prism. Scattering of light-blue colour of sky and reddish appearances of the sun at sunrise and sunset. Wavefront and Huygens’s principle - Reflection, total internal reflection and refraction of plane wave at a plane surface using wavefronts. Interference - Young’s double slit experiment and expression for fringe width - coherent source - interference of light - Formation of colours in thin films - Newton’s rings.
  • Diffraction - differences between interference and diffraction of light- diffraction grating. Polarization of light waves - polarisation by reflection - Brewster’s law - double refraction - nicol prism - uses of plane polarised light and Polaroids - rotatory polarisation - polarimeter.

Dual Nature of Radiation and Atomic Physics

Semiconductor Devices and their Applications

Since LPU admits students from all recognized boards, including NIOS you can indeed be admitted after completing your 12th grade there. You must however fulfill the particular requirement for the course for which you want to apply.
