West Bengal M.Sc Nursing Admissions 2024: Eligibility Criteria

Like many academic programmes in the country, admissions to the M.Sc Nursing programmes offered in Nursing colleges of West Bengal will be based on WB B.Sc Nursing eligibility criteria 2024. As mentioned earlier, the most common entrance exam conducted for admissions to M.Sc Nursing is JENPAS PG. Therefore, the eligibility criteria for M.Sc Nursing admissions would be similar to that required for the JENPAUH entrance exam. Academic Qualifications

  • Candidates with a valid bachelor's degree in Nursing, i.e. B.Sc Nursing or equivalent from a recognised University or college are eligible

  • Candidates with a valid Post Basic Nursing degree are also eligible.

  • Candidates currently appearing for the final year examinations are also eligible for the examination.

Qualifying Marks

  • All Candidates are required to have secured a minimum aggregate score of 55% or more in the qualifying exam.

  • Reserved category candidates are required to have obtained a minimum of 50% aggregate score in the qualifying exam.

Work Experience

  • All candidates should have at least a one-year work experience in the field of nursing from the date of being registered to a State Nursing Council or Indian Nursing Council.

Domicile Requirement

  • Candidates must prove that they are citizens of the state by displaying a certificate of domicile from West Bengal.

For those interested in taking admission to any one of the many M.Sc Nursing programmes through the entrance test, then you will be required to follow the WB M.Sc Nursing application process 2024 as outlined below.

  • Application forms for JENPAS PG are released on the official website of WBJEEB. All applications for the examination will be accepted via online mode only.

  • All candidates will be required to first register themselves with the WBJEE Board, subsequently, filling up the application forms.

  • During the application process, you will be required to enter your details such as candidate name, DoB, academic qualifications, as well as upload the necessary documents as per the instructions displayed by the board.

  • After entering and uploading the necessary documents, candidates will be required to pay the application fee as outlined by the board via the payment gateways mentioned on the website.

  • After the payment of the application fee, the application process will be completed. Candidates are advised to take a printout of the application forms along with the receipt of application fees for further admission processes.

Since JENPAS PG is a written examination, candidates who have applied for the same would be required to download the WB M.Sc Nursing Entrance Exam admit card. The WBJEE Board will generate relevant admit cards of all candidates who submit their application forms on time. Each candidate is required to produce the admit card at the respective test centres. All JENPAS M.Sc Nursing admit cards will be made available for download on the official website on the stipulated date and time. West Bengal M.Sc Nursing Selection Process 2024

After successfully completing the application process, candidates will be asked to participate in the WB M.Sc Nursing selection process 2024. As mentioned earlier, admissions to the M.Sc Nursing programme offered in the medical colleges will be based on entrance test scores, candidates will first be required to sit for the examination and participate in further selection processes.

As per the admission guidelines defined by the Board, once the results of JENPAS PG have been released at the stipulated date, candidates will be called for the counselling sessions rounds. Selection of the candidates for the M.Sc Nursing programmes will be based on the WB M.Sc Nursing counselling process 2024. WBJEEB will conduct a counselling session with multiple rounds for all candidates shortlisted via JENPAS PG 2024.
