What Cut Off marks to expect in XAT Exam

CAT result is out. Some are elated some are dejected. But itโ€™s not the end of the road. Results of some more widely accepted exams are also due sooner than later. So you can expect calls from many of the B-schools based on the score of the other exams if you have missed it after CAT result.

XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test) is one of the most popular and prestigious exams in our country for B-school admission. The exam is conducted in 47 cities in India by XLRI and about 90,000 appear for the exam every year. There are many A+ rated institutes which accept XAT scores. The most popular among these are XLRI, Jamshedpur and XIM Bhubaneswar. The format of the exam is pen and paper based. Selection process starts with the written test i.e. XAT. Based on XAT cut-offs, candidates are called for the Group Discussion and Personal Interview round. The criteria for final selection include the XAT score, candidate's academic record, overall profile of the candidate, work experience in months etc.

The next step after clearing the test cut offs is the selection process, mostly GE (Group exercise), PI (Personal Interview) & WAT (Writing Ability Test) process conducted by each of these institutes.
