Shagun joined CollegeDekho in 2024 as a Senior Executive in the Content Marketing Team and has been working in the education sector for 2.5 years and has a total of 4 years of experience in content writing, digital marketing, and SEO. She has experience writing for various niches but found her true passion in creating content for the education sector.
At CollegeDekho, Shagun has built her expertise in writing content for Agriculture, ITI, and Pharmacy stream and exams such as PAU CET Exam, OUAT Exam, GBPUAT Exam, MCAER PGCET Exam, CEE AMPAI WB Exam and RUHS Pharmacy Exam and all other exam-related information, like exam analysis, exam-day coverage, and exam preparation tips and more.
Shagun is known for writing informative and engaging content pieces. She has produced many well-researched and SEO-rich articles in the education stream. Besides this, Shagun has written content for a vast spectrum of requirements, from social media captions, E-mailers, brand marketing campaigns, website content, etc.
She also has a working knowledge of PR and design and enjoys developing those skills in her free time. Over time, she has perfected the art of creating aesthetically pleasing infographics and social media posts which aid her well in her choice of profession.
Shagun has completed her BA (Hons.) degree in Political science from Miranda House, Delhi University (DU), and her MA in Journalism. During her undergraduate degree, Shagun took part in the debates held at the university level and was the photography head for her department and now she utilises this skill of photography by being the family photographer (against her will).
As a person, Shagun is just a 25-year-old who identifies neither strictly as Gen-Z nor Millennial.
“We are shaped and fashioned by what we love....” while hitchhiking through life as a child, Shagun ‘accidentally’ ended up in a library and ‘accidentally’ ended up being imaginary friends with Keats, Yeats, Kafka, and Wilde then a few years later she decided to get paid for being a nerd and can now be found hunched over her desk in big buildings.
She's found her groove by introducing herself with the pronouns confused/hungry and jamming out to 90's Bollywood songs, ghazals, and country music when she's not in the office. She also loves chasing sunsets and funky clouds and then sketching them to see which Disney character they resemble the most. It's her way of keeping her love for sketching and painting alive. You can also find her zoned out staring into the distance listening to starry starry night while thinking about the Universe, life, and everything in between, or maybe just thinking about what to eat next.
Amongst her friends, she’s famous for her playlists, and borderline problematic yet funny advice. Her interests are far-reaching into the mysteries of mythology and war movies, a rare and regal combination (as she likes to believe), and having travelled and put up in most of India, she also sometimes likes to act as an unsolicited tour guide.
She writes under the pen name Advaita and is currently working on her novel. If you'd like to learn more about the meaning behind "Advaita," you can connect with her on her social handles.
