Disha Assawa is a Junior Content writer of the Law, Education, and Commerce stream at CollegeDekho. She is a fresh graduate in B. Com (H) who is passionate on learning and seeking corporate experience to imply skills learnt through educational knowledge and to improvise the skills into expertise goals. Disha is a young and matured individual with developed skills and personal attributes that will support the transition from education to full-time employment.

What inspired her to write?

In her words, “anything and everything can inspire you to write”. Writing may sound like a mind job but it’s mostly an observatory job. The closer you observe; the more detail you’ll find in every corner of this world. For her, reading blogs and books inspired her the most.

Education and Experience:

Disha completed her schooling from GitaRam Academy, Berhampore in the year 2016. She completed her +2 from Manindra Chandra Vidyapith, Berhampore. For her higher education she shifted to Kolkata and to complete her graduation in B. Com (H) from the University of Calcutta. She graduated in 2021 during the pandemic. As she was at home due to Covid, she started writing as a freelancer and soon was offered job from a start-up company. She worked with them for a while and then decided to explore other sectors of writing. Thus, she is here at CollegeDekho.

Co-curricular:

She was always very passionate about exploring new activities. So during her college she opted for acting and modeling. She has done a few theater plays and fashion shows representing her college. Apart from this, she also started making YouTube videos during lockdown. For her, videos are not only a medium to express herself but also a way to disconnect and connect with the world at the same time.

Excluding the creative aspect, she has also done computer courses like MS Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, and TallyERP.

Future Prospect:

As a young writer, she has the drive to explore different domains of content writing as well as other creative fields. She hopes to keep working towards polishing her skills. She’s optimistic that her future holds even greater opportunities for her to explore her potential.
