Puja started her journey as a content writer in the ed-tech sector a couple of years ago. With a spirit to learn, grow, and inform, she joined CollegeDekho in 2022, where she intends to share her knowledge and gain resourceful experience. Her research skills help her enlighten aspirants of various fields about the necessary information regarding colleges and specific educational requirements. A passionate writer, bookworm, and a huge follower of the culture and traditions of her state, Puja intends to progress her writing by setting more achievable goals, building on new ideas, and developing new skills. She loves to read and learn about the freedom struggles of our nation. Owing to these interests, she studied Literature during her graduation. After completing her Bachelor's in English Literature from Calcutta University in 2018, she pursued her Master's in the same field at Savitribai Phule Pune University, which is when she developed an interest in American Literature.

During her days in high school, Puja found her knack for teaching. She taught in several private educational institutions and enjoyed her time surrounded by the future minds of our country. She firmly believes that it is essential to properly educate today’s generation with a holistic approach because that is the only way to create unbiased minds that can curb the still-existing evils of society.

Therefore, after completing her masters in 2020, Puja returned to her hometown, Kolkata, and enrolled in the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) at West Bengal University of Teacher’s Training, Education Planning and Administration (WBUTTEPA). During her B.Ed. of course, she participated in a lot of social awareness events and even arranged some. The topics of her campaigns included a lot of social causes like child marriage, domestic violence, child trafficking, etc.

Puja believes that teaching and writing go hand-in-hand. She firmly believes that education is not only confined to the four walls of a classroom, rather she can reach out to a larger audience through her writings. She believes by combining these two skills, she can discuss facts that are not so elaborately present in any conventional textbook. She realized this through her own experience when she started using the internet after her school. She came across several vital things which still remain under-discussed during her school education.

Besides writing and teaching, Puja loves to paint. She discovered her passion for painting at a young age. She loves to draw several folk arts of India, including Madhubani and Patachitra. She is also an Instagram addict and loves to make reels on several topics including gardening, painting, traveling, etc. Her greatest dream is to witness the Northern Lights and experience the culture of Japan. She is a foodie and loves to try out new cafes all across the city with her friends and family.
