Puja Saikia has a passion towards creativity and writing. Currently working as a Content Writer at CollegeDekho, she writes articles and web- content for colleges across South India. Initially, she started as a freelance writer in 2019 and has written 2500+ articles in almost all niches. These years of experience have given her the expertise in writing content that emphasizes the target audience's needs. She is very open to ideas and has a constant desire to improve when it comes to working. She is dedicated and committed to her work.

She was born in Tezpur, a historic land in northeastern India. Growing up and studying in different corners of Assam gave her some early exposure to the world of writing and reading. It also helped her introduce herself to the world of arts and crafts. During her school days, she has written multiple poems in the children's section of the state newspapers and magazines and has actively taken part in state-level essay competitions. She has won quite a few accolades both at the district and state levels.

Talking about her education, she completed her schooling at Happy Convent School, Dhubri, and did her Higher Secondary at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Golaghat. She pursued her graduation in B.Com with an Accountancy Major from Gauhati Commerce College, under Gauhati University. Later, she completed her Master's in Commerce from OUCDE, Osmania University, Hyderabad.

Post-education, she tried to focus on preparing for UPSC, but her passion for writing made her shift her career path to content and creative writing. She used to write quotes and maintain journals of her day-to-day activities as a part of her hobby. By the end of post-graduation, she was introduced to the freelancing platforms and was spellbound to see the diversity of content writers. It was the content writer's knowledge and way of writing that gave her the strength to get better at each article she wrote. This made her open to receiving new challenges and lessons.

After working as a freelancer for two years, she worked as an e-commerce associate for a private limited company and as a PR Manager for one of her friend's startups. This is where she gained knowledge about Social Media Marketing. She also did assessments and other clerical work for the UK Education Board, on a freelancing basis. The experience helped her a lot in brushing up on her writing skills. She wanted to dive deep into the content writing world and thus knocked on the doors of CollegeDekho.

Apart from writing, she likes to spend her time drawing and painting. She is fond of animated and fantasy movies. It helps her bring to life her creativity. Reading books and binge-watching the Friends series nth number of times have helped a lot in upgrading her vocabulary. A jolly and funny person by heart, she believes that writing is an art that never fades but grows brighter and brighter every day.
