Sukriti Vajpayee

A literature enthusiast, animal lover, and neat freak who will never say no to food or chai. When not reading or writing, this person can be found lost in her thoughts or admiring sunsets and skies.

Sukriti has been in love with the written word since childhood and her fascination with literature continued to grow over the years. She began writing for her school magazine at a young age, eventually becoming the editor and the head of the Literary Club. She participated in various literary activities and competitions at both interschool and intraschool levels and gradually developed an interest in public speaking as well.

Sukriti has completed her BA (Hons.) degree in English Literature from Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and her MA in English from IGNOU. During her undergraduate degree, Sukriti took part in the literary activities held at the university level and she also got into drama and theatre. She was given the responsibility to organise various competitions and seminars which hosted students and professors from several other universities. Sukriti has also written some gripping dissertations and papers on topics ranging from linguistics to the influence of history on literature.

In order to pursue her interest in writing, Sukriti started working as a writer immediately after her bachelor degree. She was a published author in digital and print media during her tenure in the editorial section of TOI. Several internships with different organisations such as The Times of India, Pouring Pounds, etc. provided her with a deeper insight into the world of content writing.

In the beginning of 2019, Sukriti joined CollegeDekho as a Senior Executive in Content and she was instantly amazed by the dynamics of the ed-tech industry. She began this venture by working on the News and Articles section of the website and quickly became an expert in the other sections as well. Her primary objective is to provide original, reliable, and well-researched content to the target audience while also driving in more business and gaining organic traffic.

Sukriti has extensively worked on articles, exams, colleges, careers, and courses and she also communicates with students to solve their queries through the QnA section of the website. She is an expert in the fields of Law, Design, and Management and has also spent some time in the streams of Engineering, Medical, Architecture, Commerce, Pharmacy, etc. Apart from writing, Sukriti has also been entrusted with editing and proofreading various write ups.

Over the years, Sukriti has created videos on diverse topics so that students who find reading tiresome can gather information in an easy and quick way. She is adept at SEO and infographics as she believes that pictorial representation of data can not only be pleasing to the eye but can also transform the aesthetic of a write up.

As a person, Sukriti is just a 24-year-old who is learning how to be an adult (and terribly failing at it). Her listening skills have been commended by innumerable people, some of whom are not even talkers. The drugs of her choice include chai, music, books, and lovely sunsets/ sunrises. She is always appreciative of the people who introduce her to good music or binge-worthy content. An introvert by nature, the times Sukriti enjoys in the company of others usually involve sitting on the terrace and having deep conversations about life, anything and everything.
