About NTSE 2021 (Stage II New Date Soon)

NCERT will soon release the revised exam date for NTSE 2021 stage-II examination. The exam was earlier scheduled to be conducted on June 13, and the same was postponed due to the second wave Covid-19 pandemic. On the other hand, the final results of NTSE 2020 exam that was conducted on February 14 are expected to be released by July 10.

National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) is a national-level scholarship programme that helps to identify and nurture talented students. The examination is conducted every year. About 2000 scholarships are awarded to deserving candidates through this entrance exam. The objective of the exam is to identify talented youth and award them the scholarship to help them pursue their higher studies.

NTSE is a two-tier examination. The first stage of the examination is conducted at the state level under the guidance and supervision of the concerned departments of the States and Union Territories whereas the second stage is conducted at the national level by the National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT). The scheme is open for students who are currently studying in class 10th from any recognised school including Military Schools, Sainik Schools, Kendriya Vidyalaya, etc. Every year, the first stage of NTSE is conducted on the first Sunday or Saturday of November and the second stage on the second Sunday of May.

Only the candidates who have been selected by the States or Union Territories on the basis of their state-level screening examination can appear for the second stage of NTSE. Its high time for the candidates to start preparing for the examination. Preparation for this National-level examination should include practising NTSE previous years’ question papers. This will help aspirants in understanding the NTSE exam pattern and also the Syllabus of NTSE which in return will help in better exam preparation.
