NEET PG 2025 Tie-Break Policy
In case two or more candidates have got similar marks in this examination, the following stated tiebreaker will determine the result. The merit list of NEET PG 2025 will be prepared using this tie-breaker criterion. The number of criteria impacting the NEET PG tie-breaking rule 2025 has been reduced from eight to four. In a situation where two or more candidates secure the same marks, the authorities will now only consider factors such as more number of correct responses, less number of negative responses, older candidates, and higher aggregate marks (in percentage).
Rule 1: Candidates with a low number of negative responses (Part A Part B Part C) in the entire paper will be placed at a higher rank in the merit list.
Rule 2: The candidate who receives high marks in Part C of the question paper will be placed on a higher rank in the merit list.
Rule 3: Candidates with a low number of negative answers in Part C of the question paper will be placed on a higher rank in the merit list.
Rule 4: The candidate securing higher marks in Part B will be placed on the higher rank in the merit list.
Rule 5: In case, the tie still persists, candidates who have marked a lesser number of negative responses in Part B question paper will be given higher rank in the merit list.
Rule 6: If it still does not break the tie, then candidates who get high marks in Part A will be allocated a better rank in the merit list.
Rule 7: Candidates with lesser number of incorrect answers in Part A will be included in the merit list.
Rule 8: At last, the candidate elder in age will be given a better merit position.
