GATE application form 2025 correction window has been extended till November 22, 2024, for PwD students. However, for all other students, the GATE 2025 application form correction has been closed. A new list of GATE two paper combinations 2025 has been released by the IIT Roorkee. Regular students could update their paper choices till November 20, 2024, and PwD students can till November 22, 2024. Through the GATE correction window 2025 you can edit details like your name, category, date of birth, exam city, paper, etc. Students will be notified about their corrections through Email or SMS. You will be required to pay GATE application form correction 2025 fees of Rs. 500/- per correction you are making. 

After submitting the application form of GATE 2025, students must check the application status to make sure it's approved. If the GATE application status is 'Under Scrutiny/Under Process' students do not need to worry. The GATE application form under scrutiny means that your application is being reviewed. The GATE authorities conduct a verification process to ensure that all of the information submitted is correct. If there is an error in the GATE 2025 registration form, the authorities will notify you via your registered e-mail address and mobile number.

The last date to fill out the GATE application form 2025 with late fees was extended to October 11, 2024, till 11:59 pm. GATE 2025 application form was released on August 28, 2024, at gate2025.iitr.ac.in.Successfully registered students will be issued the GATE admit card 2025 on January 2, 2024. The GATE exam 2025 will be held on February 1, 2, 15 and 16, 2025. The GATE 2025 exam is being held by IIT Roorkee this year for admission to M.Tech or PhD programs at prestigious Indian universities, including IITs, NITs, IIITs, and prominent PSUs, like GAIL, SAIL, IOCL, and others. Students can make corrections in their application form of GATE 2025 through the correction window. Those who ended up making mistakes while filling out the application have the option to edit the GATE 2025 application form. On the other hand, the exam authority sends an E-Mail and SMS to students if there are any discrepancies in the application form. Students failing to make corrections before the deadline were placed under the 'Rejected Students' category. • Students receiving an E-Mail or SMS from the exam authority to resolve the discrepancy must complete the same before the last date

• The students were allowed to change the caste category in the application form

• Students choosing the additional paper will have to pay the required application form

• An additional fee is applicable to students who wish to change the exam city or centre

How do I make changes to the GATE 2025 paper?

Students change the papers in the GATE 2025 application form within a certain time frame. Students must first pick their two paper combinations; First paper and Secondary paper. Follow the steps given below to make changes to the GATE 2025 papers:

Step 1: Visit the official website of the GOAP.

Step 2: Log in with your GOAPS enrollment ID or email address, and password.

Step 3: Once logged in, you can change the options for GATE 2025.

Step 4: After selecting your favorite subject, click the 'Submit' button, and you will be brought to the payment page. Entering the captcha takes you to the payment page.

How to Add GATE Second Paper?

Students who wishe to add the GATE secondary paper from the two-paper combination can follow these steps:

Step 1: Visit the official website: gate2025.iitr.ac.in.

Step 2: Go to the application section and click the "Apply Online" option.

Step 3: Log in with your enrollment ID/email address and password. 

Step 4: After logging in, the GATE application form status will appear on the screen. 

Step 5: If you submitted your GATE application with one test paper. You can add paper using the option located below.

Step 6: Select "GATE Paper II" and submit.

Step 7: Follow the instructions and proceed to make the payment. 

Step 8: Keep the receipt for future reference once you've completed the payment.

Payment Modes Accepted for Adding GATE Two Paper

Students must pay an amount of Rs. 2300/- through any of the following payment modes:

• Debit cards include Ru Pay, Master, and Visa. 

• Credit cards include Master, Visa, Ru Pay, Amex, and Diners. 

• Other options include net banking, UPI, and wallets.

Documents Required to Fill GATE 2025 Application Form

Here is the list of documents that students need to fill out the GATE 2025 application form - 

• A scanned copy of the photograph and signature of the student.

• Valid Photo ID such as an Aadhaar Card/Passport/Driving License/PAN Card/Voter ID/College ID/Employee Identification Card/Notarized Affidavit with Photo, Signature, Date of Birth and Residential Address.

• Foreign applicants require a valid ID proof, such as a Passport/ Govt. Issued ID/College ID/Employee ID.

• Degree Certificate/Provisional Certificate/Course Completion Certificate.

• Copy of Mark Sheet of the 5th /6th /7th semester.

• Final year students must submit a Provisional Certificate Letter as per the format issued by the Home of Institute/Dean/Registrar/Head of Dept.

• Students in the final year of AMIE have to submit their mark sheet for Section A of AMIE in case of professional equivalent qualifications.

• Caste Certificate (if applicable) as per the given format.

• Disability or PwD Certificate (if applicable).

• Students pursuing a higher degree or master's have to submit the qualifying degree certificate.

• Students with backlogs have to upload a copy of the mark sheet of the final year issued by the institute where they are studying.

• Net banking/credit card/debit card details for payment of the fee.

GATE 2025 Educational Documents Required 

• The GATE 2025 information brochure's Appendix A section contains the format for the Original/Passing Degree.
• The certificate needs to be in PDF format and have a file size of 10–300 KB.
• Valid picture identification proofs include a driver's license, passport, PAN card, government ID, voter ID, Aadhaar-UID, and Aadhaar Virtual ID.
• The name, photo, ID number, and birthdate must all be displayed clearly on the photo ID
• On the day of the exam, the student must carry the GATE 2025 Admit Card and the authentic form of identification.  
• Students must make sure that the PwD category certificate they present is current and approved by the government. 
• Regardless of the kind of condition, benefits would be provided to people with benchmark disabilities or those with at least 40% impairment. 

GATE 2025 Dyslexia Certificate 

You can get such a certificate from any dyslexia association. The following is a list of some of them:

For the GATE 2025 exam, any student who is dyslexic or has a disability can use the services of a scribe. The scribe specifications are available for students to review below.

GATE 2025 Scribe Specifications

• The scribe cannot be a student sitting for the GATE 2025  exam, 
• The scribe's educational background must fall below of GATE's minimum requirements for eligibility. 
• Students can select a different scribe for the services from a panel of (Y+1) scribes for Y students that will be provided at the exam center. 
• Students who have scribes will receive an additional hour of compensatory time if they have limited writing skills. 

Non-compliance with the above-mentioned list delayed or jeopardized the application process.

GATE 2025 Registration Process

In order to apply for GATE 2025, students have to follow certain steps if they want to complete the entire process in a systematic and correct manner. The registration process for GATE 2025 involves the following stages: Registration, GOAPS Password, GOAPS Enrolment ID,  Application Form Filling and Uploading Images and Supporting Documents, Online Fee Payment, etc. 

Step-by-Step Guide to GATE 2025 Registration Process

The steps to register and fill out the GATE registration form 2025 have been explained below - 

Step1: GATE 2025 Registration through GOAPS

• Visit the official website of GATE

• Register as a “New User” and proceed as mentioned in the guide

• After successful registration, they will get access to GOAPS with the credentials they entered such as name, valid email ID and mobile number.

• International students must note that any contact with the student will be done only through the provided e-mail ID.

Note: The email ID and mobile number submitted must be valid in nature because all communication related to the examination will be sent through this medium.

• After providing all details like a valid email address, mobile number and a GOAPS password of their choice.

GOAPS Password:

• While creating the password, you must note that they should create a password, which cannot be guessed easily.

• You shouldn't use your name, date of birth, or easily guessable string of alphabets or numbers.

• Try creating a password that has numbers, alphabets, and special characters.

• Confirm the registration.

GOAPS Enrolment ID:

• After the successful registration, you will receive an email that contains the GOAPS Enrolment ID.

• The Enrolment ID is necessary to log in to fill out the online application form for GATE 2025.

GATE 2025 Login Window

The GATE Login Window, popularly known as GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) is an online platform through which students can create their own GATE Login ID and Password for various stages of the examination, such as GATE registration, application fee payment, document upload, hall ticket download, GATE scorecard download etc. students can refer to the image below to know what the GATE 2025 login window looks like -

Step 2: Filling Out GATE Application Form 2025

• Next, you have to fill out the GATE registration form 2025 with Personal information including Name, Date of Birth and other requisite information,

• Click on the 'Start the GATE 2025 Application Process' tab.

• Personal Details: Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Nationality, Category, A person with Disability Status and Dyslexia Status, Country of Permanent Residence, State/Union Territory, Select ID Proof and Enter ID Proof Number, Name of Parent/Guardian (stick to the specifications), Country of Residence of Parent/Guardian, Mobile Number of Parent/Guardian etc.

  •  Address details for communication purposes (PIN code mandatory)

• Eligibility Details: Name of the college where the you had completed a UG degree. You must also specify the address of the college along with the PIN code.

  • Before filling out the application form, you must have clarity on the GATE paper and examination centre.

Step 3: Uploading Scanned Documents on GATE Registration Form 2025

In this step, you have to upload their scanned recent photograph, signature and other documents (if required) according to the specifications mentioned by the exam conducting authorities. 

• High-quality scanned image (JPEG format) of photograph and signature.

• Thumb impression as per the specified requirements.

• Scanned images (JPEG format) of degree certificates/ mark sheets

• Scanned copy of the category certificate (if applicable) in PDF format.

After uploading the documents, read the declaration and click on the 'checkbox' to proceed to the fee payment.

Step 4: Preview of GATE Registration Form 2025

• Before proceeding to online fee payment, the server will display the preview of the GATE application form 2025.

• No changes will be allowed once students click on the ‘Confirm and Final Submit’ button.

• All students are advised to thoroughly check their submitted information for any mistakes.

• Click on “Confirm and Submit”.

Step 5: GATE Registration Form 2025 Fee Payment

• The payment of fees has to be done through online modes such as net banking/debit card/credit card. 

• After the payment is done, the students will be redirected to the GOAPS website.

• After payment, the GATE 2025 application form will be successfully submitted through GOAPS.

• Download it and take a printout of the filled application form and keep it for your own reference.

GATE 2025 Application Fees Payment Instructions

GATE application fees 2024 can be paid via online mode only through UPI, credit cards, debit cards, and net banking. Students can also pay GATE 2025 registration fees using a master card or an overseas visa. The GATE application fee amount will be displayed on the payment portal, Students must carefully pay the correct fee amount. Students will be able to download the GATE 2025 application form PDF online after successfully completing the payment.

Students must verify their internet connectivity before paying the GATE 2025 application fees. Students must check the transaction status from their bank account and then log in again to check the GATE application form payment status if they are experiencing technical difficulties or a bad internet connection.

What to do if there is a GATE Application Fee Payment Error?

Students can download the application after payment has been received. Otherwise, a new payment has to be made. The money will be returned to the source account within 15 days, but, only if the amount has been taken out of the bank account but the payment acknowledgment has not yet been received. To avoid the last-minute rush, students are encouraged to pay in advance.

How to Check GATE 2025 Application Status?

IIT Roorkee has opened the window for checking the GATE application status 2025. Students can visit the GOAPs portal to check their GATE 2025 application form status. The authorities scrutinize the submit GATE registration form 2025 for data accuracy. If any discrepancy is found, the students are notified via email or SMS. The scrutiny process continues even after the application portal is closed. Students can check their status after logging into their GOAPS accounts. It is important to rectify the discrepancies within the allotted time otherwise the application form will get rejected. 

GATE Application Form 2025- Retrieving Forgotten Enrollment ID or Password

In case, students have forgotten their GATE registration ID or enrollment ID, they can access it by following the steps given below.

Step 2: Then, go to the ‘Forgot GATE 2025 Enrolment ID or Registration ID’ and click on the link. 

Step 3: If your email address is still valid but you cannot remember your enrollment or registration IDs, click "Request for an OTP" to receive a 'One Time Password'.

Step 4: To change the password if you already have an OTP, click "Already have an OTP?"

What after GATE Application Form 2025?

After the GATE 2025 registration process is completed, the authorities will release the admit card. GATE admit card 2025 will be published on January 2, 2025. Only those students who registered successfully will be allowed to access the GATE 2025 admit card. IIT Roorkee will release the GATE admit card 2025 in online mode at gate2025.iitr.ac.in. Students must download the admit card of GATE 2025 using their enrollment ID/ registered email ID, password, and security text. GATE Application Form 2025: Two-Paper Combination

IIT Roorkee has released a new GATE two-paper combination list 2025 for registered students. The time window to update the GATE papers on the GOAPS portal is between November 14 to 20, 2024. Students who had previously only taken one paper can add a second paper from the new two-paper options. However, students who have chosen two papers earlier, can now only update the second paper 

Those who wished to add a second paper to the two already available combinations (see Table 1 below) might do so for a standard cost plus a penalty. Those who desired to add a second paper from the existing two paper combinations could do so for a standard cost with a penalty.

After GATE CS, Civil Engineering was the second most opted paper with 1,08,136 registrations. Followed by, a Mechanical Engineering paper with 83,114 registrations.

Civil Engineering was the most opted paper by students in GATE 2023 with 1,05,064 students registering. Followed by, GATE Computer Science and Information Technology papers with 99,555 registrations and Mechanical Engineering with 82,233 papers.
