SNAP Selection Process 2024

Following the release of the SNAP 2024 results, SIU and its affiliated institutes will start shortlisting applicants in accordance with the SNAP cutoff 2024. The three stages in the SNAP 2024 admission process are the Group Exercise (GE), Written Ability Test (WAT), and Personal Interview.

SNAP Selection Process

On the official Symbiosis International (Deemed) University website, the waiting list and the SNAP merit list will both be available. In order to create the final merit list, the score would depend on the performance of the candidates in the following stages:

MBA Selection Parameters

Description

Total Weightage

SNAP score (scaled out of 150 marks)

It is a crucial component in the preparation of the final merit list.

Group Exercise

There are two stages in the Group Exercise (GE) round. Every group is assigned a task to solve in a specified amount of time during the first phase. The purpose of this activity is to assess the candidates' teamwork and coordination skills. The goal of this task is to demonstrate teamwork and leadership abilities.

Group discussions make up the second part of GE. The candidates are divided into groups, with a different topic of debate assigned to each group. They are given five minutes to come up with points pertaining to the topic, after which the floor is opened for discussion. The evaluation criteria of this round include the applicants' capacity for communication and convincing others, as well as clarity of thoughts and anticipation.

10

Personal Interview

At SIU, the Personal Interview (PI) phase includes asking candidates questions about their backgrounds and objectives for the future, just as at other universities. 'Why MBA?', 'where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?', 'how good are your leadership skills?' are some of the most often asked questions. This round evaluates the candidate’s communication and problem-solving skills.

30

Written Ability Test

In this phase, candidates will compose a brief essay on the topic given to them as part of an essay writing test. Occasionally, a video is shown to the candidates, who then have to create a narrative around it. The purpose of this round is to evaluate the candidates' interpretative and analytical skills.

What are the determining factors for SNAP cutoffs?

SNAP cutoffs are determined by each SIU constituent institute based on various factors. These factors include the number of candidates who appeared in the SNAP exam, the difficulty level of the exam, the number of candidates who qualified, pass percentage, high percentile range, and the number of seats available in the programs. Cutoffs can vary between years and across different SNAP accepting institutes.

When will the SNAP 2024 cutoff be announced?

The SNAP 2024 cutoff will be officially announced in February 2025. While the specific date is not communicated by Symbiosis International (Deemed) University, historical trends indicate that cutoffs are typically released about a week after the exam result declaration. SNAP cutoffs, ranging between 55-98 percentile, can be accessed through the login portals of SIU institutes.

What is the expected cutoff for SNAP 2024?

What is considered a safe score in SNAP?

Yes, a score of 30 in SNAP is considered safe for achieving an 89-90 percentile. With this percentile range in SNAP 2024, candidates are likely to meet the cutoffs for MBA colleges such as SITM, SIOM, SICSR, SIMS, SIMC, and SCIT.

What does a score of 60 marks mean in SNAP?

A score of 60 marks in SNAP means the maximum attainable SNAP score, reflecting the total number of questions in the exam. Each correct answer in SNAP awards one mark, while each incorrect answer results in a deduction of 0.25 marks. There is no negative marking for unattempted questions.

What is the SNAP cutoff for SIBM Pune?

The SNAP cutoff for SIBM Pune typically ranges around 97-98.5 percentile. Similarly, for SCMHRD Pune, the cutoff usually falls between 94-96 percentile. Candidates scoring at or above these specified SNAP cutoff percentiles are eligible to participate in the GE-WAT-PI round.

Is getting a 99th percentile in SNAP considered easy?

Dear Student,

The reason you can't find the form for SSMC (Symbiosis School of Media and Communication) in the SNAP 2024 dashboard is that the institute no longer seems to be a part of SIU-constituent colleges.
