Latest - GATE Qualifying Marks 2025 Released!

The GATE cutoff 2025 consists of two types: the GATE qualifying cutoff, which is the minimum score required to pass, and the GATE admission cutoff, which determines eligibility for M.Tech admissions in IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs. The GATE 2025 admission cut offs vary based on institute type, with IITs generally having higher GATE cutoffs than NITs and IIITs. For example, the expected GATE cutoff 2025 for CSE at IITs ranges between 750-760 for GN, 670-675 for OBC, and 500-520 for SC/ST, while the GATE 2025 expected cut off for Civil Engineering is estimated between 500-650 for GN, 450-550 for OBC, and 300-450 for SC/ST. GATE 2025 cutoff IIT NIT will be released during COAP and CCMT. The GATE cutoff marks for IIT and NIT will be released after each round of counselling. Students who score equal to or higher than the GATE 2025 cutoff IIT NIT will have a better chance of M.Tech admission. Factors like available seats, your performance, and paper difficulty influence the GATE 2025 cut off marks. Additionally, a valid score on the GATE 2025 exam is essential for PSU recruitment through GATE 2025.

GATE Cutoff Analysis (2021 vs 2020)

Looking at the GATE cutoffs for 2021 and 2020, we can observe that the cutoffs for the majority of the papers have fallen from the prior year. For example, the GATE cutoff for CSE was 28.5 in 2020 and dropped to 26.1 in 2021.

GATE Cutoff Analysis (2020 vs 2019)

The analysis below compares the changes in the qualifying GATE Cutoff 2020 vs 2019. While the official GATE result figures show that just 18.8% of students passed the test. There have been several surprises in the GATE cutoffs, with many indicating a significant decrease and others showing an increase. Only Mathematics has exhibited no change in the GATE cutoff marks. You can go through the table below to know more about the GATE cutoff analysis for 2020 and 2019.

Opportunities After GATE 2025 Result

The opportunities that present themselves before the students after the declaration of the GATE result are listed below -

  • M.Tech admission in reputed institutions - When the GATE Exam 2025 results are declared and the students are selected in the merit lists, they can apply for M.Tech admissions 2025 at any of the seven IITs or private colleges throughout India. It's the most prevalent entry point, and every engineer desires to take advantage of it. With a strong GATE score, the students will be eligible for M. Tech studies, stipends, and other academic perks and privileges at the Top M.Tech colleges in India. The students can get several nice career prospects after finishing M. Tech. GATE can be a critical step toward engineering students securing a prosperous career

  • Apply for jobs in the PSUs - GATE scores are used by more than 200 public sector organisations (PSUs) to select engineering students, including BHEL, IOCL, NPCIL, ONGC, and NTPC. PSU positions for GATE-certified students provide an exceptional wage package, a good work-life balance, and other advantages like reimbursements, discounted rates, quarters to stay, help for their children's further education, PFs, pensions, and more. The bulk of students want to be accepted for various PSUs, and even if they are picked for M. Tech, they continue to study for the GATE examination scheduled next year. The PSU recruiting process includes a legitimate GATE score, a group discussion, and a personal interview (PI). The weightage accorded to the GATE score ranges between 75% and 85%

  • Admission into PhD - M. Tech degree is no longer required to be considered for Ph. D programmes. If the students have a B. Tech degree and a decent GATE score, they can apply for Ph. D programmes immediately. Research possibilities abroad, stipends throughout Ph. D courses and career prospects as an associate professor at IITs and IIITs are among the many advantages of pursuing a Ph.D. degree

  • MS Admission through GATE - If the students want to study abroad, they shouldn't be concerned about GRE and TOEFL scores. Some overseas colleges consider GATE scores for admission of Indian students. GATE score should not be more than 3 years old on the date the students apply to take admission to colleges abroad and the GATE percentage should be 90% or above

  • Job Opportunities in the State Electricity Boards - Various State Electricity Boards now accept GATE scores for recruitment purposes these days. Earlier, they used to follow an entrance-based selection process. Interested students can apply easily for the vacant positions through their GATE registration numbers
