UPCATET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

UPCATET eligibility criteria 2025 will be released by S V P University of Agriculture & Technology, Meerut on its official website along with the information brochure. The eligibility requirements for UPCATET 2025 state that to be allowed to appear for the examination, applicants must have passed Class 12 and scored at least 50% aggregate marks in the respective stream based on their preferred type of academic course. Applicants who intend to take the test must fulfil/ satisfy all the required prerequisites for UPCATET 2025.

Domicile Based UPCATET Eligibility Criteria 2025

The domicile based UPCATET eligibility criteria 2025 is explained in the points below:

  • The candidate must be a domicile of Uttar Pradesh state. For domicile rule, the candidate must follow the given below requirements:
  • The candidate must have passed their qualifying examination from an Institute in UP and must have been residing in UP from the past 5 years as per UPCATET 2025 eligibility criteria.

OR

  • The father of the candidate and the candidate himself must be a domicile of Uttar Pradesh as per UPCATET eligibility criteria 2025.

OR

  • The father of the candidate is not a domicile of UP. However, he has residence acquisition of UP and has been staying in the state for at least 5 years upto the time of application as per UPCATET 2025 eligibility criteria.

OR

  • The father of the candidate works under the UP State Government or the Indian Government (posted in UP). The candidate who has his/ her father working in a public venture will have to bring an affidavit of the present post on a stamp paper of a valid amount.

OR

  • The candidate is an NRI but his ancestors were a domicile of Uttar Pradesh as per UPCATET eligibility criteria 2025.

UPCATET 2025 Eligibility Criteria for UG & PG Programs

Candidates who wish to take the UPCATET 2025 exam must meet the eligibility requirements set by the conducting authority. The UPCATET eligibility criteria 2025 require candidates to have lived in Uttar Pradesh for at least five years. Candidates who do not currently live in Uttar Pradesh but have ancestors who did may also take the exam.

BTech in CSE, ECE, and Mechanical

All interested candidates must have a valid 10+2 marksheet that includes PCM/PCMB.

PG Courses

MV Sc, MSc & MBA

All candidates must have completed a bachelor's degree from a recognised institution with OGPA 5.50 out of 10 (5.00 for SC/ST).

M.Tech All candidates must have completed a bachelor's degree in respective course from a recognised institution

I am a Class 12 pass student with compartment, am I eligible for UPCATET if I pass the compartment exam?

Yes, you will be eligible for the UPCATET exam if you pass the compartment exam for class 12, however, you must have lived in UP for the least duration of five years.
