The state of Bihar would soon get 10 new medical colleges. The state’s health department has brought to the notice of the government of the shortage of the good doctors in the state.
The Bihar state government has decided to establish 10 new government medical colleges in order to improve the condition of the health sector of Bihar.
According to the reports, at least 5 of the 10 newly proposed medical colleges would start rendering education from the session 2017-18.
It is noteworthy that, even in the last year the health department had sent a proposal to the government to set up new medical colleges in the towns such as Purina, Chhapra, and Samastipur of Bihar.
However, the proposals couldn’t take the shape of the projects due to lack of the basic facilities and the infrastructure at the local level. Also, the newly set up medical college in the Madhepura – Bihar is still waiting for its first batch to take admission and for starting the session.
Meanwhile, the state has been trying to do away with the shortcomings in the infrastructure for the smooth development of the projects that have been proposed.
Also, it has been reported that the colleges would have 100 M.B.B.S seats each.
