Recognising the outstanding academic performance of students, Honda Motors India (HMI) Private Limited awarded ‘ Young Engineer and Scientist’s Award’ for the year 2017-18 to 14 students of Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) . All the awardees will get a scholarship of $3,000 each. HMI will send all these 14 students to Japan for higher studies.

The selection of students for the award is based on CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average), essay and Personal Interview (two rounds). Students from the following IITs have been selected for the coveted award: -
Honda Foundation in India has been conferring ‘Young Engineer and Scientist’s Award’ since 2007 to nurture students who have excelled in Science & Technology. It is a great initiative to help students study in Japan.
Japan has been playing a dominating role in the field of Science & Technology . Numerous innovations, electronic products, automobiles and gadgets are from Japan, which have taken control over the global market scenario. The country is coming up with various innovations for the benefit of society.

Taking further note, it is interesting to learn that IITs will soon become the third-party accrediting agencies, which will play an indispensable role in accrediting the higher learning institutes across the country. UGC has approved the guidelines for allowing third-party organisations or agencies to grant accreditation to Indian institutes.
