Nearly 350 students of the second semester Bachelor of Computer Application(BCA) of Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) missed their first summer examination paper, the due printing error in their Identity card.
The first paper of the second semester Bachelor of Computer Application(BCA) was scheduled on 18th May 2016.
The time of the examination was at 9 am. However, the timing of the examination on the identity cards of some of the students was mentioned at 9.30 am ,while some it was mentioned 2.30 pm. As mentioned in the identity these students reached the examination in the after session.
Students could not find their roll numbers in the examination list at their respective centres.
Not finding their roll number in the list the students contacted the officials at the examination centre, where they were informed that their paper was convened in the morning session itself.
However, the students showed their identity and the timing mentioned in it and requested the examination centre officials to allow them to sit in the examination. But they were not allowed to appear in the examination.
The aggrieved students than straight reached Pariksha Bhavan and informed them about the incident.
Nine students submitted written complaint about the incident by 3 pm and demanded re-examination.
Nagpur University's staff from pariksha Bhavan and examination cell informed that students will not suffer and will be allowed to sit in re-exam which will be scheduled soon by the university soon and right steps will be taken to ensure students will not miss their further papers due to misprint on the Hall ticket.
