Almost 400 students were able to secure admission in the DU Special Admission Drive that took place on July 16 & July 17, 2018 . These students were able to get admission after the varsity rectified the errors in the application forms of students. Many students who failed to submit the application form for NCWEB were also able to complete the application process due to special admission drive.
One of the officials of the DU admission committee revealed that most students who took part in the special admission drive were from SC, ST and OBC categories. Some students relied on special admission drive to change the category. On the other hand, few students participated in special admission drive as a backup. For instance, a student who appeared for JEE Mains and waiting for seat allotment results applied for Computer Science and Mathematics courses at DU, he explained.

With the corrections in the application form, the number of students applying for the admission to DU based on DU Sixth Cut-Off will increase. At present, only a few colleges have seats available under the General Category. The recent HC order directed the DU colleges to enrol students who were eligible to for the admission after Class 12 re-evaluation results.
The officials of DU directed the students who did not change their category during the admission drive to send a mail along with scanned copy of registration form and category certificate to ccadmissions.dsw2018@gmail.com by July 19, 2018, 5:00 PM.
