IIT Kanpur, the institute which has been given the responsibility of conducting the JEE Advanced 2018 exam, has been making different announcements and updates regarding the exam. According to the latest announcement, Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur has said that 4,000 additional candidates would be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2018 once they qualify in the first phase of IIT admissions - i.e. JEE Main 2018. The number of candidates who will be deemed qualified to appear for JEE Advanced 2018 has been increased to 2,24,000 including all the categories as against the existing limit of 2,20,000 until 2017.
JEE Advanced exam is widely known as the IIT entrance examination. It is the most popular UG engineering entrance exam in the country on the basis of which candidates are screened for admission to B.Tech/ Dual degree courses at Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) of the country. Primarily, the applicants must qualify in JEE Mains 2018 exam to be eligible for JEE Advanced 2018 exam.

Although the competition for engineering admissions has been increasing year after year, it is advisable that students prepare effectively for the engineering entrance exam so that they can further their chances of getting admission into the premier IITs. The exam difficulty trend is expected to continue in 2018 as well. The addition of 4,000 more candidates for eligibility will be a great opportunity for aspirants to seek admission in their dream engineering colleges in India.
JEE Advanced 2018 exam will take place on May 20, 2018 . The JEE Advanced exam will be conducted online (computer-based). The applicants will be required to appear for two papers (Paper I and Paper II).
