The Bihar state is going to have six new engineering colleges very soon. The state government has announced the establishment of the new colleges on 5th April 2016. The colleges have been announced to be opened in Begusarai, Rohtaas, Sitamadhi, Madhepura, Katihar etc. in the financial year, of 2016-2017. The policy has been framed under the education sector and comes under the seven vows of the state government.
A fund of Rs. 33.46 crore had been proposed for the construction this year, and the budget has been passed. The construction of the new colleges is likely to be started with full fledged. The colleges would be built in the next five financial years and under the 5-year plan. According to the science and technology department, the education department had devised a plan for the establishment of the seven colleges in seven different districts.
The state has been in a dire need of good engineering colleges. The step from the government will help the state retain its youth force and young talents in the state only. It is noteworthy that the students migrate every year in order to find better colleges and life prospects from the state of Bihar. The city of Patna has only 3 government engineering colleges in the city against the large volume of students graduating from high school, aspiring to become engineers and secure well-paying jobs.
