60 students belonging from the state of Gujarat have managed to score 99 percentile in the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2019. Out of the 60 students, the majority of the students are from Ahemadabad with 6 from Vadodara, 5 belonging from Surat, 6 from Gandhinagar and 3 from Rajkot.
CAT is a national-level entrance exam conducted mainly for admission to the Indian Institutes of Management . CAT scores are also accepted by most of the other management colleges in India for admission to the Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PDGM) programmes.

Another city that shined in the CAT results was Chandigarh, where 15 students out of the 7,500 that had applied got a 99 percentile score. This year's CAT exam was conducted by the Indian Insitute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode and the institute announced CAT 2019 results on 4th January. Stats regarding the results have started pouring in and the results have been promising for the students.
CAT 2019 saw an increase of around 4,000 in the total number of aspirants from last year. A total of 2,44,169 students registered for the CAT 2019 exam and 2,09,926 candidates appeared for the exam. 10 students managed to get a 100 percentile score in the CAT 2019.

The majority of the candidates who have scored high in the CAT exam have an educational background in Engineering. Commerce students also make up a good share of the CAT 2019 top scorers.
