A mobile app to combat the menace of ragging has been launched by the University Grants Commission (UGC). To fight the menace of ragging, UGC (University Grants Commission) has created and launched a mobile app which will help students fight against ragging. All they have to do is register complaints if they face any sort of problem/ issues.
“The University Grants Commission (UGC) has determined to bring an app because it would facilitate them file complaints wherever they're. Earlier additionally there was the provision as per that students may file complaints on-line, a, however, an app would build it easier,” a senior official said.
The higher education regulator during a recent meeting has made a three-member committee which will investigate the assorted aspects of creating wi-fi enabled campuses so, this facility is available to students at all times.
The committee consistes of the Central University of Kashmir Vice-Chancellor (VC) Me’raj Ud Din Mir, Central University of South Bihar Vice-Chancellor (VC) H C S Rathore and the Central University of Haryana Vice-Chancellor (VC) R C Kuhad.
The Human Resources Development (HRD) ministry plans to put in Wi-Fi altogether Central Universities. The committee may additionally co-opt members from the IT sector for effective implementation of the project.
