Nalanda Medical College and Hospital organized a two-days workshop in its Ear-Neck-Throat (ENT) department. The workshop observed several operations performed by senior doctors who came from Banglore. The last day of the workshop witnessed a successful operation of damaged eardrum. The complex operation performed by Dr. H. Bijendra and team was broadcasted live. More than 50 doctors from across the state of Bihar and Jharkhand came to witness the operation.
The head of the department Dr. Chandrashekhar two cases of damaged ears have been cured during the workshop. For treating the damaged eardrums, a new technique which uses replacement of eardrums for the treatment has been used by the doctors.
It is noteworthy that earlier to this NMCH was in news due to the MCI visit and the improvements suggested by the MCI in the college and hospital administration.
