Recently through an announcement, it has been declared that the admission deadline for Homeopathy and Ayurveda colleges has been extended to 30th November 2016. Earlier the last date for admission to these colleges was 30th October 2016.
It was also revealed that till now about seven Ayurveda and eight Homeopathy colleges are awaiting an approval. The Admission Committee for Professional Medical Courses (ACPMC) said that once these colleges receive an approval by the respective councils, it will have to reshuffle seats.

A notification/ letter has been issued by the ministry in this regard. All relevant information regarding the admissions can be found on the official website of AYUSH.
Once the Combined Pre-Ayush Test merit list was released, the counselling procedure was to be completed by 30th October 2016. Most seats in government medical colleges were filled. However, some colleges have not been approved by the government. It is hoped that the before the second counselling is planned, the above issue can be sorted out by the Department of Education.

The Combined Pre-Ayush Test (CPAT 2016) was conducted for admissions to the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS), Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) courses for the academic session of 2016-17.
The Department of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha & Homoeopathy, also known as AYUSH, is a governmental body in India aimed at developing, education and research in ayurveda (Indian traditional medicine), yoga, unani, naturopathy, homeopathy and siddha. and homoeopathy and other Indigenous Medicine systems.
