The Secondary Education Department, Assam Government is inviting interested and eligible candidates to apply for the position of graduate teachers in Hindi and Sanskrit by February 15.

The Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
For Hindi Teacher-The candidate must have acquired a Pravin/Ratna in Hindi with at least 50% marks. The candidate must have a degree qualification from any recognized university or B.A with Hindi as one of the subjects with 50% marks and B.T/B.Ed degree from any recognized university/institution.
For Sanskrit Teacher-The candidate must have acquired a Shastri with at least 50% marks. The candidate must have a degree qualification from any recognized university or B.A with Sanskrit as one of the subjects with 50% marks and B.T/B.Ed degree from any recognized university/institution.
Age Limit:
The candidate interested in applying for the position must not be more than 38 years of age as on January 1, 2016. For the reserved category candidates the age relaxation is applicable up to five years.
Selection Procedure
The shortlisting of the candidates would be done on the basis of their performance in the TET (Teacher Eligibility Test).
Exam Pattern
There would be 100 MCQs in the exam carrying one mark each. The questions would be based on general knowledge and current affairs and will be subject specific.
Minimum Qualifying Marks to pass TET
In order to qualify the TET examination the candidate must score at least 60% marks. However there would be a 5% relaxation in marks for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/PWD category.
