Applications are invited by Chennai Mathematical Institute (CMI), Siruseri for admission to 3 years integrated Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) honours in Mathematics and Computer Science, Mathematics and Physics and Master of Science (M.Sc) in Mathematics, Application of Mathematics and Computer Science programs for the academic session 2016.
Eligibility criteria
BSc. Honours Programme: Only candidates with 12th standard or equivalent are eligible to apply.
MSc. in Mathematics Programme: Only candidates with B.Sc (Math)/B.Math/B.Stat/B.E/B.Tech are eligible to apply.
MSc. In Computer Science Programme: Only candidates with B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc (CS)/BCA or BSc (Math) and a strong background in CS are eligible to apply.
MSc in Applications of Mathematics Programme: Only candidates with BSc. (Math/Physics/Statistics)/B.Math/B.Stat/B.E/B.Tech are eligible to apply.
Application Procedure
Applications for August 2016 will be available from Monday, March 14, 2016.
Selection Procedure
- The candidates would be selected on the basis of their performance in the entrance examination held in May at multiple centres across the country.
- The shortlisted candidates would be would be called for an interview based on their academic records.
Scholarships
A scholarship of Rs 4000 would be given to the BSc (Hons) students and of Rs. 6000 to the MSc students.
Important Dates
- The application forms need to be submitted latest by: Monday, March 14, 2016 to Friday, April 15, 2016.
- The entrance exam would be held on: Wednesday, May 18, 2016.
