Admission Notice- Council of Architecture Announces National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) 2016

Council of Architecture has announced the notification date for National Aptitude Test in Architecture NATA 2016 for admission to the first year of 5-year Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) Degree course at all recognized institutions all over the country.

Eligibility Criteria-

Any person having passed SSC (Std. X) or equivalent examination and above can appear for NATA. However, only candidates who have qualified an aptitude test in Architecture and have secured 50% marks in 10+2 or equivalent examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects shall be eligible for admission to B.Arch Course. No direct lateral admission is allowed at any year/stage of B.Arch course based on any qualification

NATA score shall be valid for a period of two years from the year in which one appeared

Exam Schedule-

NATA Test shall be conducted from 01st April 2016 to 28th May 2016 and from 06th June 2016 to 20th August 2016 and can be given during this period as per the pre-decided schedule of the designated Test Centers

Appointments are scheduled on a first come, first-serve basis

Exam Pattern-

The Test is in two parts. A paper based drawing test and computer based online aesthetic sensitivity test
The test measures aptitude of the candidate through two sections - a paper based section for drawing and computer based section for aesthetic sensitivity

NATA Test Centres-

NATA test is conducted at various CoA approved architectural institutions in the country. However, test centre keeps on changing thereby making it mandatory to confirm from its official website

How to Apply-

NATA 2016 Registration form can fill and submitted from the website by payment of NATA fees of Rs 1250.00 (+ Processing Charges) use Netbanking/Credit Cards/ICICI Ensured Bank Challan
Download the Prefilled Registration form and procure the necessary registration documents

Important Dates-

NATA 2016 Registration Process begins from 21st January 2016
NATA 2016 Examination Starts Date: 01st April 2016
Test centers are being activated till 30th April 2016
Last Date of Exam: 20th August 2016
Last Date for Registration: 18th August 2016
