National Institute of Technology, Uttarakhand have opened gates for students for admission to Ph.D programmes for the Spring Semester 2016 . NIT Uttarakhand offers full time and part time Ph.D programmes in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Social Sciences (Humanities).
Eligibility Criteria:
- Master's in the concerned or an allied subject with first class or CGPA greater than 6.75 on a 10-point scale.
- Bachelor's in concerned discipline with at least 55 per cent marks at Master's Level (or equal to 6.75 out of 10) with an eligible GATE/SET score.
Selection process:
- Written test and interview.

Application fee:
The candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs 500 through demand draft drawn in favour of Director, NIT Uttarakhand, payable at Srinagar (Garhwal), Uttarakhand and should be sent to Asst. Registrar (Academic), NIT Uttarakhand.

The last date for sending the application : January 25.
The list of eligible candidates will be displayed: January 28.
The date of written test: February 12.
