VELS Institute of Science, Technology and Advanced Studies (VISTAS) has opened its gates for students interested for admission to School of Maritime Studies for the academic year 2016.
The institute offers the following courses:

Application Procedure:
- Application forms are available on the official website of the University.
- Application fee: Rs. 350 which is to be paid via DD, in favour of Vels University, payable at Chennai.
Eligibility Criteria:
- B.Sc. Nautical Science:
Pass in +2, with minimum 60% aggr. In PCM group & minimum 50% in English at 10th or 12th. Max. age 25 yrs
- B.E. Marine Engineering:
Pass in +2, with minimum 60% aggr. In PCM group & minimum 50% in English at 10th or 12th. Max. age 25 yrs
- Presea Training for Graduates (GME) - 1 year
B.E.Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical & Automation Engineering or Naval Architecture degree with minimum 50% marks in Final year. The candidate should have obtained atleast 50% in English at 10th or 12th std. or degree course. Age - 28 years as on commencement of the course
- Presea Training for Diploma Holders (DME) - 2 years
Diploma in Mechanical / Marine / Electrical and Electronic Engineering / Naval Architecture / Electrical Engineering with minimum 50% marks in Final year. The candidate should have obtained atleast 50% in English at 10th or 12th std. or Diploma course. Age - 28 years as on commencement of the course.
