According to sources, the roll numbers or admit cards for CBSE Class 12 examination are expected to be out this week. The Central Board of Secondary Education has already released the revised date sheets of both Class 10 & 12 board exams. The exam dates have been altered ahead of elections in five dates. The board exams for Class 10 & 12 will commence on March 9, 2017. Class 10 examinations will conclude on April 10, 2017 whereas Class 12 exams will continue till April 29, 2017.

The revised dates of examinations will give an additional time to the students to prepare for the exams. The Board has given reasonable time gap between major papers as well as ensured that the students prepare for entrance exams like Joint Entrance Exam or JEE and National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) . The board ensured that students could prepare for entrance exams effectively as they have a lot of time between the examinations.

The Board also planned to declare the results of CBSE Class 12 exams as early as possible, unlike previous years. For this purpose, the Board had adopted several IT initiatives which will enable faster declaration of exam results.
This year, a total number of 10,98,420 students are going to appear for Class 12 examinations in 3,503 examination centres.
On the other hand, ISC and ICSE also revised the dates of exams due to elections. Various universities are also planning to reschedule the dates of UG admissions due to changes in CBSE, ICSE & ISE exam dates.
