The Department of Electronics of VR Siddhartha Engineering College, Vijayawada (VRSEC) conducted "AFOSEC -2k16' a national level cultural and techno fest on 5th - 6th February 2016. Around 70 colleges from Andhra Pradesh had participated in this fest.
On the first day i.e 5th February, a workshop was conducted on various models of electronic goods. Cars were displayed by various companies. Students exhibited their projects and explained about them to the visitors. The exhibition was inaugrated by the Principal of the college. Around 1500 students from the city visited the exhibition.
On the second day i.e 6th February, 2016 Fancy Fete was conducted by the students. They conducted various games to the visitors as a part of Fancy Fete. Various games like;
- Hit the Wicket
- Counting the Chocolates
- Arrainging Pyramid
- Hitting The glasses
- Counting the Coins
At 11.00 am, the cultural fest started and students from 70 colleges perfomed dance which was the major highlight of the event. Starting from Classical to Western Dance, students performed various forms of choreography.
Various forms of dances that were performed were;
- Kuchipudi
- Bharatanatyam
- Manipuri
- Kathak
- Western Dance
Around 2000 students from the city attended Cultural Fest and had a gala time.
At the evening cash prizes were distributed to the students who were the winners of Cultural and Techno Fest. An amount of Rs.4,00,000 was given away as cash prizes. The event was highly successful and some news channels gave the live coverage of Techno fest for one hour.
