The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) conducts the Common Management Admission Test or CMAT as it is popularly known in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), GOI for admission to management education in India.

If you are interested in taking the CMAT 2017, then you will be eligible to apply to AICTE approved Universities, Departments, Constituent & Affiliated Colleges as well as private institutions.

Eligibility Criteria for CMAT 2017:

  • You should be a citizen of India
  • You should have completed your graduation
  • If you are in the final year of your Bachelor’s degree, you may apply provided that the result is declared before the commencement of admission for the new academic session of 2017-18

CMAT 2017 Exam Pattern, Syllabus & Marking Pattern:

The total duration of CMAT Exam is 3 hours (180 minutes). For every correct answer, you will get 3 marks and 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. The key to acing the CMAT 2017 exam is practice. In fact, AICTE is going to conduct a mock test on December 15, 2016 onwards to familiarize students with the exam pattern, screen, layout & navigation of the 2017 CMAT paper.

The CMAT 2017 Exam Paper will have 4 sections with a total of 100 objective type questions. The sections will be divided into:

Application Procedure for CMAT 2017:

Online:

If applying online, you need to fill up the application form available on the official website of AICTE CMAT from October 10, 2016. As soon as you register and accept the declaration, you will receive a 6-digit password via Email/ SMS, which you can use at all times. Payment can be made through Credit card, Debit card as well as Net Banking.

After successful completion of payment, you will receive a confirmation via E-Mail and SMS and you can proceed with the formalities of the registration process. You can even download your CMAT 2017 Admit Card from here.

Offline:

You can also make cash payment for CMAT 2017 exam at any SBI bank. Once done, you will need to collect your Challan visible on the screen, take 3 print outs, fill in the details and walk into any SBI Branch.

Note – Cash will be accepted one day after the issue of your Challan.

Cost of CMAT 2017 Form:

  • The registration fee for General Candidates - Rs.1400
  • The registration fee for SC/ST/PD Candidates – Rs. 700

CMAT 2017 Admit Card:

January 2017 is when you can start downloading your CMAT 2017 Admit Card. The card will include your name, picture, roll number and signature, along with the date and venue of CMAT exam. It will also carry the instructions to be followed during CMAT.

Note* - It is compulsory to carry a copy of your CMAT admit card to the exam center as an ID proof.

CMAT 2017 Answer Key:

Using the answer key CMAT 2017 that will be announced 1 – 2 weeks after the CMAT 2017 entrance exam for management, you will be able to check your answers and calculate your CMAT 2017 marks and score after completion of the 2017 CMAT exam.

CMAT 2017 Result:

The official date for result for CMAT 2017 has not been declared yet. AICTE will release a merit list along with the CMAT result, which will include a national list of all the candidates who appeared for the CMAT exam. The individual score-card will include your rank and score and will be issued later.
