The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) will present the second Lilavati Awards on March 8, 2022, with the goal of recognizing women's empowerment and their recognizable work in various sectors. Smriti Zubin Irani, Union Minister for Women and Child Development, will address the winners online. It will be conducted tomorrow on the occasion of International Women’s Day 2022.
About the AICTE Lilavati Awards
This award is intended to reward AICTE-approved institutions' efforts to treat women with 'equality and justice in all aspects of their lives. The awards honour the famous mathematician Lilavati.

Highlights of AICTE Lilavati Awards 2021
- The event will start tomorrow from 4.00 PM onwards at AICTE Headquarters in New Delhi.
- Around 500 teams have participated in the 2021 event. 27 teams of teachers, non-teaching staff, and students were chosen and will be recognized for their contributions to a more equal society.
- The AICTE’s Second Lilavati Awards Tomorrow will be live-streamed on YouTube.
- The awards will be given to women in the following areas- Women Innovators, Women and Adolescent Health, Environment, Sanitation and Hygiene, Self-Defense, Literacy and Life Skills, Women Entrepreneurship, Legal Awareness, and Technology for Women.
