A total of 41 Open Access Resources list has been released by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) which the students can use not only during the lockdown period but also once the lockdown is removed. To contain the spread of Coronavirus disease, all the professional colleges, which includes pharmacy, management and engineering colleges have been closed.
According to an AICTE statement, the open-access resources will help the students broaden their learning horizon by productively utilising the time from the confines of homes and hostels. Contents from both Indian and foreign content providers can be found in the open-access resources released by AICTE.
In the open-access resources list, AICTE has included high wire, directory of open access books, NCERT textbooks, spoken tutorial, FOSSEE, virtual labs, A-VIEW, talks to teacher, InfoPort, national programme on technology-enhanced learning, national knowledge network, SWAYAM online courses and national digital library.

The AICTE also recently launched ELIS, a portal to enhance digital learning and support among the student community in the country. ELIS was launched to ensure the students do not suffer in terms of academic activity due to the coronavirus outbreak in the country. ELIS or Enhancement in Learning with Improvement in Skills can be accessed from www.aicte-india.org for absolutely free of cost.

Many companies have made their content available for the students free, as per a statement released by AICTE.
