AICTE has come up with a new set of guidelines for the Indian technical institutes as the board exams have been postponed and results have been delayed due to the COVID-19 lockdown. In light of the above, AICTE has asked institutes to grant provisional admission to PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Management) and PGCM (Post Graduate Certificate in Management) courses.
As per the official notification released by the AICTE, provisional admissions will be allowed in stand-alone or autonomous institutes which offer PGDM and PGCM courses to those students who are in the final year but the results are pending due to the exams being delayed. The guidelines also state that the students who take provisional admission will have to submit all the relevant documents including the passing certificates and mark sheets by December 31, 2020, to confirm the admission.
