The Human Resource Development Ministry (HRD has come up with new Student Development Schemes for technical education. These Student Development Schemes will include giving weightage to the feedback of students in evaluating teachers and mentoring of technical institutes by renowned institutes so that they could achieve their accreditation.

PMSSS- Prime Minister's Special Scholarship Scheme
The aim of the PMSSS Scheme empower and educate the youth of Jammu and Kashmir so that they could compete in the normal course and increase the employment potential of the students in J&K
A total of 5000 scholarships will be given which will include - Rs.3,00,000 for Medical Degree, Rs. 100,000 as Maintainance Charges, Rs. 1,25,000 for Engineering Degree and Rs.30,000 for General Degree each year.
PG Scholarship
The PG Scholarship is awarded to full-time
GATE
/
GPAT
qualified students pursuing M.E./ M. Tech/ M. Arch and M.Pharma courses in AICTE approved institutions.
The student gets Rs.12,400 per month as a part of PG scholarship.
AICTE-INAE Travel Grant Scheme
An AICTE-INAE Travel Grant Scheme is for engineering students who wish to present papers abroad.
The scheme has been launched by AICTE to improve the quality of engineering education in India.
National Doctoral Fellowship-NDF
The NDF scholarship is for admitting full-time meritorious research scholars who are planning to take admission in Ph.D course in AICTE approved institutes/departments to carry out research.
