Western Sydney University , Australia is going to collaborate with the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) to develop guidelines and research for incorporating Ayurveda with modern medicine. AIIA signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Western Sydney University, Australia in New Delhi on 22nd November.
All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), Western Sydney University, Australia, VC of WSU Professor Barney Glover and Prof. Tanuja Nesari signed the MoU while the visit of the delegation conducted by Dan Tehan, Australian Government’s Education Minister.
India is one of the chief countries for international partnerships with Australia. The MoU is another step towards a better healthcare industry. Prof Barney Glover said that merging Ayurveda and data-driven technologies will be significant to the current scenario and providing a safer and better healthcare system.
He also added that both the institutions will take the partnership to the next level by determining key areas in research, education on traditional medicine and adding on the investment in its infrastructure. This would ensure the effective integration of traditional and modern medicine.

The MoU was signed and exchanged at the workshop called India Australia International Education and Research at New Delhi’s Ambedkar International Center. This was done in the presence of Australia’s Minister of Education Dan Tehan and India’s HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhariyal along with Ms. Harinder Sidhu who is the Australian High Commissioner to India.
This MoU that would combine the traditional Ayurveda Medicine and Modern medicine’s conventional ideas is expected to generate scientific evidence that could further contribute to global healthcare.
