AIIMS Declares MBBS Results & Counselling Schedule

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has announced the AIIMS MBBS Result 2016 as per the annual examination schedule on 14th June 2016 in the evening. A total 7,137 candidates qualified the medical entrance examination for admission to MBBS programme at all the 7 AIIMS institutes all over India.


A total of 1,89,357 candidates has appeared for the examination while competing for 675 seats in AIIMS institutes across the country. Of this around 7,137 medical aspirants have made the cut by qualifying in the examination. AIIMS is expected to declare the AIIMS merit list and cut-off soon where around 2000 candidates will be shortlisted and called in for the AIIMS counselling sessions.

The first round of AIIMS MBBS counselling to be held from 4th to the 7th July 2016 . The second round will be held on 4th August whereas the third on 6th Sept. Another third round may be held if there are additional seats on 27th Sept 2016. The dates are tentative dates and are liable to change as per the discretion of AIIMS.


Sathvik Reddy Erla from Hyderabad topped the exam while Nikhil Bajiya from Jhunjhunu in Rajasthan secured the second rank in the AIIMS entrance test result.


Bajiya was coached at Allen Career Institute in Kota. The institutes students have bagged eight of the 10 places in the All India Institute of Medical Sciences test, that was conducted on May 29.
It is to be noted that students of Allen Career Institute had grabbed the top three places in the joint entrance examination (advanced) for the country’s premier engineering schools the Indian Institutes of Technology.


Bajiya plans to pursue neurosurgery at Delhi’s AIIMS, one of the seven colleges that will take in 672 successful students. While talking to his schedules of study he said “I used to study around six-seven hours daily after my coaching,”
